Al Kunz Memorial Mite Jamboree

On January 1st of 2017, we lost one of the good guys.....and sadly unepectedly....Mr. Al Kunz....Left us way too early.

Not one person has had more of a monumental impact to this Association than Al Kunz. He was the WHA Gambling Manager since 2001; and in those 15 years he brought in millions of dollars; so your child and all the children in the WHA and Waseca Community could have a great experience playing hockey here in Waseca.

There is not one place in the arena that Al hasn't touched or been a part of from the jerseys, to the dehumidification system, to the outdoor rink along with making sure your hockey fees stayed as low as they could be....I could continue for hours on how Al has enhanced hockey in Waseca, but time does not permit.

The reason Al was such as successful Gambling Manager and such a good friend to all of us.....It's because he cared about relationships. Al was always more interested in and what you had to say than any of his concerns.

Al was a hockey dad and won numerous WHA Volunteer of the ear Awards, but more importantly a husband of 40 years, a Father and a very proud Grandfather.

Al may no longer be with us, but his presence will be felt for many years to come in the Waseca Hockey Community and we're all eternally grateful and indebted to this wonderful man....and he is sorely missed!
